I registered initially back in 2014, and until recently I had never needed to visit except for the mandatory registration appointment with a nurse. However, a couple of months ago I tried to make an appointment. I hadn't realised at first that they had changed the booking system so that you can only make bookings over the phone, between specific hours. That meant I had to try again the next day, as I'd missed that day's slot. The next day I called probably around 40 times, both in the morning slot and the afternoon slot. I never manged to get through at all, I just got an engaged tone every time. It was impossible to speak to a person or even leave a message. Your call isn't even put in a queue. It was a total waste of time, especially as this was during my working hours. In short, the booking system is a complete joke. It's virtually impossible to speak to someone, never mind get an appointment. What is the point of a GP service that you can't access? I was lucky that my need wasn't urgent, but what if it was?!In the end I registered with a different practice who, thankfully, have a functioning booking system. Avoid this surgery!
Ridiculous! Initial impressions of the surgery were positive. Couldnt fault on getting an appointment or the appointments them selves but the repeat prescription service is a joke. Every time I order a repeat prescription it takes at least 4 phone calls as they havent been picked up and put through. To the point now that it has been over a month since I initially requested my current prescription and 5 phone calls on with my GP over the month and I still do not have it and my pharmacy has had to put an emergency supply through for me and no reason as to why its not getting done!
New to this surgery as moved house. Impossible to get an appointment as the line is engaged for the one hour they open it. Not practical for a surgery to not have a telephone line available. I work full time and cannot sit trying to get through for 60 mins. My first appointment was with Dr Barnes I found her extremely unfriendly she wasnt interested in what I had to say just generally quite miserable didnt make me feel I could speak to her at all. I wouldnt book an appointment with her ever again. Dr Donaghue was lovely, very approachable listened to me and took what I came to see her for onboard. I will continue to see her now.
Been trying to speak to doctor or even book an appointment for the last month and Ive never been able to get through. So I tried to go to the surgery and book in person but theres a sign on the door stating that you cant. The booking system they have is terrible.
Would give no star if I could have. Only just reg'd, called to get an app got attitude was told I was being rude when I expressed my opinion on the app system only able to do between 9-10am or a Tues evening, everyonther app in an on the day (useless when at work) Ridiculous if I am honest. Surgery was very dingy when I went in and I witnessed the blonde receptionist be rude to a patient. Moving surgery again because of all of this. Very very shocked, wish I read bad reviews before wasting my time on the so called docs surgery.
